So it's the 29th February, leap year, the day tables are turned! Are you planning on popping the question today? If you are you may already be worrying about what you will do with the other loves of your life during the wedding and for your honeymoon; your pets!
Unlike most pet sitting companies we are always happy to offer a 'day' sit, which means that we are able to provide a tailored wedding service providing care for stag/hen nights, while you are getting ready for the wedding, the wedding day itself (we can even bring them to the church for photos) and of course the honeymoon! Pets can cause real headaches for wedding parties; after all the people you would trust with them are all likely to be attending the day. Many couples now choose to get married abroad so we are also happy to work with parents following on or returning early, whatever you need.
The beauty of a pet sit is that the sitter is also on hand to care for your property while you are away. They can deal with deliveries for or after the wedding ensuring that all those loose ends are neatly tied up for your return. Your home will also be aired, clean and tidy all ready for your new life!
To find out more about our services or to check availibility simply contact us.
This made us laugh today .. maybe not for the right reasons though! Apart from the fact that it's very clever we could not help but think it sounded like a day in the life of a pet sitter!
Love the chap at the end, talk about making an entrance ;o)
Working in the pet sitting industry often means that we discover new charities working hard to ensure that pets who are not as fortunate as the ones we care for are given the best chance in life. One of these is the West Yorkshire Dog Rescue; as a local charity we wanted to take a moment to give them a plug on our site! If you are considering a new pet please do consider a rescue.
West
Yorkshire Dog Rescue is a registered charity dedicated to the rescue
&
rehome of unwanted & abandoned dogs.
We do not use kennels, all the dogs that come
through our rescue are put into foster homes with loving families where
there
behaviour can be assessed. They will stay with their foster home until a
forever
home can be found.
All our dogs are given all the vet treatment
required .
We carefully match the dog to the new owners'
lifestyle to ensure the happiness & compatibility of both dogs &
people
If you are kind enough to be fostering a rescue please do let us know when you book your sit as we will do everything we can to ensure that they receive extra special care and a treat!
Happy New Year from everyone at Pet and Property Sitters! Our office is now open again after the Christmas break, although as you can see from the picture below not all of our team are happy to be back working again!
We are now busy taking bookings for 2012; our regular clients like to book early to ensure that they get their sitters confirmed so if you are likely to require cover during our busy times it never hurts to give us a call and get pencilled in!
January 2012 is looking like our busiest ever so please do get in touch quick if you require cover. Our pet sitters are braving the weather to ensure that your pets are properly walked and homes remain cared for in adverse conditions.
We have received a warning from North Yorkshire Police about a scam currently operating and thought we would pass it on. Please be careful around the festive period!
North Yorkshire
Police have been made aware that the following Postal Scam which is
operating in the run up to Christmas. The existence of the scam is
confirmed by the Royal mail and Trading Standards. This con operates as
follows: A card is posted through your door from a
company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were
unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906
6611911 (a Premium rate number). DO NOT call this number, as this is
a mail scam originating from Belize. If you call the number and
you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed
£315 for the phone call. If you do receive a card with these
details, then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 020 7239 6655
While we are caring for your property your sitters will act according to your instructions. We are happy to take delivery of items as long as we are aware of it. Our general rule is that if we do no know about it, it does not happen so please ensure that if you are expecting any deliveries your sitter is briefed accordingly. If you are aware of scams such as this operating in your area please do let us know so that we can pass the warning on!
We can't believe how quickly this year has gone .. it appears Christmas is coming around again! Our office is busy with calls from people arranging festive treats and planning to escape to some sunshine in the new year! Our pet sitters are now wrapping up warm and enjoying the lovely winter walks, although we are not ready for snow just yet! This fellow is though .. he can't wait ;o)
Pet and Property Sitters are supporting the Pedigree Adoption Drive .. why not take Ripley for a virtual walk?
